MTT Shipping celebrates the maiden voyage and inaugural call of our latest vessel, M.V. MTT Xu May at Westports Malaysia.
With a capacity of 508 TEUs, M.V. MTT Xu May carries a meaningful name, honouring the eldest granddaughter of Group Executive Chairman, Dato’ Seri Kenny Ong. This state-of-the-art vessel is the first in a series of four sister ships, specifically engineered as gas-powered deck ships optimized for shallow-drafted trade within ASEAN.
With the addition of M.V. MTT Xu May, MTT Shipping’s fleet now stands at 23 vessels. Looking ahead, the Company anticipates the arrival of three more vessels by 2025 and another two by 2026, bringing our total fleet size to 28 ships.
This expansion is part of our fleet renewal strategy, focusing on investing in newer, fuel-efficient vessels that emit lower greenhouse gases, paving the way for greener shipping operations.
